Happy Thanksgiving
This is the Captain here, wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving or Turkey Day. In 1621, the very first Thanksgiving took place in the Plymouth Plantation in Massachusetts. A Native American man by the name of Squanto taught the English Colonies, whom are now known as Pilgrims how to catch Eel and grow Corn. During that time, the leader of the Wampanoag tribe, by the name Massasoit donated a fledging colony in the 1st Winter of that time. 53 Pilgrims and Puritians took part in this festive holiday at the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Among the 53 Pilgrims and Puritians were Govenor William Bradford and Captain Miles Standish whom had also took part in creating this New World that they and the Pilgrims envisioned. Now, Thanksgiving is a National Holiday that is celebrated in the Month of November on the 3rd or 4th Thursday of the week. Thanksgiving is a Holiday were we all say Thanks and Bless the lord with a delightful Thanksgiving Dinner.
