Mother's Day at Awakenings - Part #2

Good Evening and here's part #2 of the Awakenings Mother's Day Movement. Kamal Smith, is on stage acting like he's Lite Shineth. Heh, heh. . . "LET THE LIGHT SHINETH UPON YOU, KAMAL !!!" That was catchy though. In any case, normally you would see Diallo preaching but had some car issues, so a man that Diallo met named Daniel Davenport entered Awakenings and preached about his success and what path that success drove him. It was a terrible shame to see his eldest son's life taken by his own hand. I feel nothing but rage and anger to see those who are being bullied which would lead to a path of suicide. I too thought about suicide, for no apparent reason, but the Will to Live is much stronger than suicide. And if I were to face suicide, then it I would face nothing more than fiery damnation in the pits of hell ! And I don't want that to happen. So from here on out, i'm going to live to see tomorrow and i'll keep having the will to live with me. But a shout out to those to who are being bullied, suicide is not the way to go. And if you wish for more info on how to put a stop to bullying, visit a website or call a hotline should you need assistance. Anywho, it was a pleasure listening to Mr. Davenport's sermon. I want to hear more from him one day. The Series is about being strange, and I agree with him, were all not normal. We don't want to be too successful in life, but significant. In the meantime, took some photos of people socializing and Chellie "Caribbean Nut" Marie texting. I should get her to model for me one day. Heh, heh. . . I hope you enjoyed this post, cause you know I'am. For more info on the Series for Awakenings Movement, visit the website at: www.AwakenDetroit.com More post coming soon, so enjoy the weekend if you will.

And folks getting up, hugging, embracing and telling each other I love you and there's nothing you can do about it ! Heh, heh. . . That Mrs. Lynda is something, isn't she ? Anywho, more Awakenings Stills coming soon.

Well, here's Part #2 of the Awakenings Movement Easter Celebration. More of the Awakenings family socializing before everyone could get in and get they church on after Jamie made the announcements after that, Kamal and the choir got they praise on as well. By the way, congrats to my friend Kamal Smith for the DVD release of the movie: Loud Pack, which is out on DVD or not yet release, i'm not sure. Speaking of perfomance, the lovely Keiona Evans and the talented R.J from Kid Motion made one awesome of an awesome performance, specially R.J when the kid got his rap on a video and on stage with the choir along with that other woman who's name I forgot. But in any case, Awakenings Easter Celebration was slamming. I suggest you come to Awakenings Movement and see what i'm talking about. Awakenings Easter Celebration (Part #1)

Hope you all had a fantastic Easter, because myself and everyone else did at the Easter Celebration at Awakenings Movement. If you don't believe me, then these Stills will tell the story, for example: My friend, Lucas playing songs while everyone else was socializing. Jayne Marie Smith and Shelly "Carribean Nut" Owens were anxiously trying getting inside, cause it was cold like the Water. Everyone still was socializing and wandering, like Derek was doing. However i'm going to put this photograph on my DeviantART. And we said hello to the newest member of kid motion, Ms. Andrea Matthews who is the newest addition to the team with Ms. Jameel Smith & Ms. Brianne Eccles. Part #2 of the Easter Celebration coming soon, so I hope you enjoy.

The Captain has returned and with more updates and photos. This past week, Awakenings Movement has done another Baptism, the last time it was 4, but now it's 5 and the video tells the story about those who want to give themselves to the lord. The 1st one up was Shelly (Carribean Nut) whom was very excited about giving herself to the lord ! Halleulah !! The next one or ones were a family. I can't remember their names, but it was blessing for them to give to give themselves to our lord savior, i'm truly happy for them. I'm so Happy to be apart of this. I'm looking forward to the Easter Celebration this Sunday and i'll hope you'll be there as well. More Photos coming up starting with the rest of the Awakenings Bapism. Enjoy ! Awakenings Movement - Baptism

Two Weeks ago, Awakenings Movement had a baptism, this was a first for me to ever witness Diallo perform one. Although it was mean those who wish to make a change in their lives, make a difference and i'm very happy and blessed to be one of those people. First off was my good buddy, Wadsworth who was in a video which was created by Fyl Frazze, written by Diallo Smith. He was a brunch conversation with another good friend of mine, Dan. Dan had asked a question: Do you want to give yourself to the lord ? When I heard that question he asked Wadsworth, I wondered the same thing. And Wadsworth did just that by baptism in name of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit. Then, Derek was the next to go up, his wife shed tears of joy when volunteered, that's was when it occured to me, let's this be the 2nd time. And I was the 3rd one going up, not any of you know this, but this was my second time giving myself to the big man upstairs and finally, there was William Smith who had volunteered to give himself to the lord, his daughter was so happy. Now, it's never too late to make that change in life. It really isn't. . . It's also never too late to see what Awakenings is all about. This is only a suggestions, head on out to the Detroit School of Arts on 123 & Seldon in Detroit and take a good luck. God Bless you.

Oh well, here some more photos from Awakenings Movement that are my favorites and made me into a decent Photographer as someone I know said. 1st photo was one woman looking around, wondering what Awakenings is all about, and at last finally understands. 2nd Photo, well, this is my second time posting this, but this copyright tells the story, the other one was copyrighted by Rogue Bard Media. Awakenings Movement Favorite

Here's another favorite photo I took at Awakenings Movements. Although I did another one like this, but asked Danielle to sit on the rear of the windows and look outside to even it up, but for this one, the subject was unaware that I was getting a photograph of him which is one of my best photos along with the woman praying on stage at Kuumba's Cove on the first post of this blog. If you wish to come out to the Big-D (Downtown Detroit) to see what Awakenings Movement is all about, head on down to the Detroit School of Arts on 123 Seldon in Detroit, Michigan so you can get your church on and there you'll meet Diallo Smith, who is the Architect, brains behind the Awakenings Movement, also you meet up with Jameel Smith, who is the brains behind Kid Motion. If you feel that you are in need of refreshment, head down to Kuumba's Cafe where Daune Smith can hook you up.  I thank Rogue Bard Media for Watermarking with their logo. Awakenings Movement Celebration (Part #1)

I'm back my friends & back with more photos, this past Saturday on December 24th (Christmas Eve), the Awakenings Movement Celebration was jam packed. I didn't know it was going to be this packed, but then again it Awakenings, you'll never know who might or might not show, however the pictures tell the story. It starts off with Choir (Kamal Smith, Jamie Mitchell & the 3rd choir member, I need to get her name.) as the audience was getting there church on followed by the announcements made by my good buddy, Dan, who usually subs for Diallo when he's not around, he does a pretty good job preaching, other than that the Movement got the hugging and loving and there was nothing they could do about it. Heh, heh. . . I like that line. But this was the last Awakenings Movement of the year, we hope you come on January the 8th in the year of 2012, bring 2 or 3 more people with you, there you can meet Diallo, Jameel, Dan, Daune & many more coming up on the 8th. Bike-A-Thon (Part #1)

What's up, Metro Detroiters and Merry Christmas on this Holiday Weekend and yes tomorrow is Christmas and to tell you the truth it's feels like it's practicly here. Remember the One Night Open Mic Night at Kuumba's Cove ? Well, the open mic night was actually a fundraiser to help purchase bikes to give away to the youngsters as a Christmas gift to show our support for the youth and our way of giving back to the community. This is Part #2 of the Fundraiser which is a Bike-A-Thon orcastrated by my good friend, Diallo Smith who is not only the creator of Kuumba's Cove, but the Minister and Architect for Awakenings Movement. Also, my other good friends, Kamal Smith, Keiona Evans, Damian Gabriel and others was on hand as the goal was to ride from the cove all the way to Belle Isle to the front of Cobo Hall and back to the cove. I had to take these from inside Fyl Frazze's Van and outside the freezing cold. Damn, should've brought an extra jacket when I had the chance. Oh well, for more on these photos, you can check them out, that is if on there. the website is http://www.awakendetroit.com/ - the official Awakenings Movement website where you have any questions, ask Diallo or look for Awakenings on http://FaceBook.com/AwakenDetroit or Tweet at http://www.Twitter.com/AwakenDetroit. In the meantime, enjoy these photos and Part #2 of this post coming soon. Should you have any Questions, comments and concerns, you know what to do and i'll reply back to you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, my friends.
