The Captain has returned and with a New name and same purpose. . . To spread the word of Captain's Cove: Detroit. It's been a year since I posted anything here on the blog, but now I have returned to post on the blog. My New Year's Resolution for 2022 and Beyond is less planning and more doing when it comes to Canvas-Art, Photo-Art and soon Video-Art Content for YouTube, even though I won't be on Social Media too much and too often. Speaking of Social Media, there will be some changes for FaceBook, Twitter, Pintrest & Instagram. TikTok coming soon in the future as well as a Future Website, so it's going to take some time and work to Bare Fruit. These 2 Images represent me as a Canvas & Photo Artist spreading the word and getting my name out to Detroit as well as the areas that surround it in a Positive matter. Your thinking, why come up with the name "Captain's Cove" ? The idea came when I 1st visited Kummba's Cove Art Gallery when I was with the Rogue Bard Media LLC Crew back in 2011, when I did Poetry for Nommo, did content there at times, the Cove was my home away from home and I was fascinated by the people I met whom were and still like a 2nd family to me and the Art that was in place. . . Unfortunately the Cove was shutdown in 2013 or 2014. Kummba's Cove will always be a special place in my heart and so I decided to name my new Media Gallery & Production "Captain's Cove: Detroit". Even though I'll be doing Content of my own, working with Rogue Bard more as well hopefully working with CyberStars: Detroit and if you don't know what CyberStars is, it's a Media Production with Skits and Shorts, it is created by my friend and FedEX Work-Brother, David Ragin who is also a musician . Do not forget to follow him on Social Media. These harsh times with this Nightmarish and Deadly Pandemic curse known as COVID-19 and the restrictions has gotten the best of us with people getting sick and testing positve and dying from this cursed evil, but we can't let it take control of our lives physically and mentally, we still have to Mask-Up and stay true to the 4 to 6ft rule. So, let's Stay Safe, Stay Healthly and Stay Gold.
Hello and welcome to my blog, this is dedicated to my work as both Photographer and Artist, my goal is to use my talents as a sign of hope and for not just Detroit, but the world. Thank you and enjoy.

Production Experimentals
Back with more experimentals, from the Production part that is. The times i've spent with the Rogue Bard Media crew were fun at times, if only I could relive and go back to times, however what's done is done and I can't go back to that, even with the mistakes I made. And the photograph of me taking a photo of Wynter. Although the photo was taken by Mr. Fyl Frazee of Rogue Bard Media. All 3 of these were photoshopped by yours truly, due to my experimental and creative genius. 1st two are painted with Paint Daubs and Accented Strokes and the 3rd and final is poster-like. More Experimentals coming soon. For more info on Rogue Bard Media LLC, visit their website at RogueBardMedia.com

Blast from the Past - Deathwatch. . . Again.
I'm back and I've done some digging into my past and found stills of the Rogue Bard feature, Deathwatch which we did back in the William D. Ford years. Where students of the William D. Ford Career Tech Center, I was one of them, whom was boosting his photography, teaming up with Rogue Bard Media LLC. 1st is Jimmy(Don Dryuor) on the Microphone from the Radio Station, then both Jimmy and Marty being interviewed by the radio D.J (forgot the name but was played by Kamal Smith). These guys along with other students, including me did a great job with the acting, with getting the lines right and I did a great job with another photographer with the stills. Wish we had a reunion looking back on this and me and the bards put our issues in the past. Anywho, check out Kamal Smith on Because We're Men every sunday at 5:00pm on MyTV-20 Detroit, and if you want more the bards go to their webpage at www.RogueBardMedia.com. More post coming soon.

2013: The Year in Review - Part #1

2013 has been pretty wild, but regrettingly disappointing, these stills tell a different story.
January, myself and the Rogue Bard crew did production of Can't Get No Play, which was awesome. Next was the Portrait Photoshoot of the Producer of Rogue Bard Media, Mr. Phil Frazze which wasn't too shabby. However, on October 6th 2013, me and Phil had a heated argument on FaceBook, I ruined a day of production for him and I didn't even had the right to take responsiblity, wish I could, but couldn't. I blew it and was full of it. For that, I blamed and lost one of my best friends for false reasons.
I asked myself "What have I done ?" This isn't the 1st time I made mistakes and they won't be the last. Enough of the negatives, on to the Positives, next was the Spring where this Pinkish, Violet Blossom tree made decent results, more of 2013 in review continues, enjoy.

It was just a Hiatus.
Hello, Bloggers. . . The Captain is Back and is wish you all a Happy Easter. Sorry to keep you waiting, but i'd decided to give up posting for lent - giving something up of equal value. Although this month is about to reach it's climax, I have some news. Myself and Rogue Bard Media are putting together a documentary on one important question, does Jesus love the LGBT(Lesbians, Gays, Bi-Sexuals and Transgenders) ? We are running a Kickstarter Campaign in order to get this movie started, so we need your generous donations in order to get this started. If you do that, then we'll be so happy to get the working. Some Behind the Scenes stills will also be part of this, as well as some funny videos as well. Also, more stills from Detroit Essence will be coming soon as well as more projects from the Rogue Bard Crew. Plus, i'll be coming up with my own Painting Show coming in end of summer/beginning of Autumn. Usually, you would the Best of the Joy of Painting and watch Bob Ross perform his talents with Oil Paint and his artworks look real and fascinating. But I'll be using Acrylic Paint, we'll see how this plays out for me. More post coming soon, so enjoy. Leave me some question and i'll get back to you with some answers.

Blast of the Past - Part #2: DeathWatch Trailer - Rick
Here's another blast from the Past during my escapdes with Rogue Bard Media, this is a character trailer from 2012 movie created by Rogue Bard Media and students of William D. Ford Career Technical Center, Deathwatch ! I play Rick - the Token Black Guy who puts %100 effort into his work, but gets treated like crap by his employers, Marty and Jimmy (played by Don Druyor and Devon Winters). He's shows the new guy, Carl (played by Cale LaBean) all the tips on how to deal with the Paranormal activities to gain fame. Fyl said that this was going to be the worst movie ever, but I really recommend that you should see this movie for yourself to see what you think. My Very First Copyright
This bring back memories, when I first got into William D. Ford I was a mere nobody, didn't know nothing about Photography whatsoever, however I did try, but kept messing up, until this shot of Dave "Jibber" Sobecki proved to be the difference maker. Mr. A (Mr. Louis Amadio) whom was my instructor at the time said that this was my A-Shot. Not although all works of Art don't have to be perfect, but people would continue to comment about it (Positive & Negative). The next year, Fyl Frazze had came up with the Idea of Watermarking, you when the Rogue Bard Media crew took photos of their work, they would always Watermark their photos with the Rogue Bard Media symbol as a copyright. When I started this blog last year, I tried posted my work blank, but Fyl once again gave me the idea of Watermark, show I took under consideration to allow him to help me Watermark what photos I took to post in this blog. This is my very 1st Studio Still for this blog - A head & sholder photograph of Dave "Jibber" Sobecki ! (Forgot to tell you, he's also a photographer as well.)

More Awakenings Favorites
I'm back from another hiatus, must've been a couple of days. Oh well, here some more photos from Awakenings Movement that are my favorites and made me into a decent Photographer as someone I know said. 1st photo was one woman looking around, wondering what Awakenings is all about, and at last finally understands. 2nd Photo, well, this is my second time posting this, but this copyright tells the story, the other one was copyrighted by Rogue Bard Media. If you want to see more of Rogue Bard Media's photos or videos, check out their website at http://www.roguebardmedia.com/ , visit their FaceBook page which keep the photos posted at http://www.FaceBook.com/RogueBardMedia that's were the photos are posted and if you like to Tweet them, visit them at http://www.Twitter.com/RogueBardMedia . Moving on, and finally this 3rd and final is from Kid Motion which is hosted by Mrs. Jameel Smith, here we have one of the young women looking after the children who are playing some awesome board games like Sorry & Connect Four. I'm gonna keep saying this, so don't hate ! If you want to see what Awakenings Movement is all about, just like that one girl did in the 1st photo, visit Awakenings Movemennt at the Detroit School of Arts every Sunday morning at 10:00am on 123 Seldon in Detroit, MI. You can also learn more at http://www.awakendetroit.com/ , you can also visit their FaceBook page and Twitter page. Hope you enjoy this post, cause you know I'am.

Awakenings Movement Favorite
Here's another favorite photo I took at Awakenings Movements. Although I did another one like this, but asked Danielle to sit on the rear of the windows and look outside to even it up, but for this one, the subject was unaware that I was getting a photograph of him which is one of my best photos along with the woman praying on stage at Kuumba's Cove on the first post of this blog. If you wish to come out to the Big-D (Downtown Detroit) to see what Awakenings Movement is all about, head on down to the Detroit School of Arts on 123 Seldon in Detroit, Michigan so you can get your church on and there you'll meet Diallo Smith, who is the Architect, brains behind the Awakenings Movement, also you meet up with Jameel Smith, who is the brains behind Kid Motion. If you feel that you are in need of refreshment, head down to Kuumba's Cafe where Daune Smith can hook you up. I thank Rogue Bard Media for Watermarking with their logo. By the way, if you want to know what Awakenings is all about, visit online at http://www.awakendetroit.com/, for all you FaceBook fans, visit their page at http://www.FaceBook.com/AwakenDetroit & for those of you who like to Tweet, visit http://www.Twitter.com/AwakenDetroit.

Last Post of the Year
